In the case of the warehouse the savings on the total consumption in an Efficiency Scenario reach 90%, compared with the BAU Scenario. In terms of HVAC, in Burgos the reduction is almost 96% due to the reduction in demand for heating and the high efficiency of heat pumps. In the case of Almeria the reduction in demand for HVAC is less than 80%, since the efficiency measures fail to further reduce the weight of this demand.

 

The graphs show the final energy consumption structure in Almería and Burgos for both Scenarios. In the BAU Scenario the warehouse has a high lighting consumption, although in the coldest provinces HVAC has a high contribution to the demand. In the Efficiency Scenario lighting continues to dominate the structure and is about 50% for both sites.
