The demand scenarios are completed with the primary sector and public services. With the goal of fully dispensing with fossil fuels, we also included the non-energy uses (for example, when used as raw material for plastics).
The efficiency levels applied are more conservative. Even so, if we compare the final energy consumption between the Efficiency and BAU Scenarios, we have savings of 31% for the primary sector, 62% for public sector services and 20% for 'non-energy uses'.
All sectors can significantly reduce their energy demand thanks to the incorporation of intelligence and energy efficiency criteria, electrification and the direct use of renewable energies. In addition, people can reduce their energy consumption through saving habits, choosing efficient, organic and local products and even through a less intensive meat diet.
