In the case of a restaurant the savings over the total consumption in an Efficiency Scenario are about 70%, compared with the BAU Scenario. In very cold locations the savings levels obtained are around 98%. This is due to the reduction in demand because of the application of adequate insulation levels, the implementation of recuperative processes and high-efficiency heat pumps.

 

The figure shows the final energy consumption structure in Almería and Burgos for both Scenarios. Even in the BAU Scenario it can be seen how the installations have the highest percentage of consumption and the total energy demand is very high in both provinces. In the Efficiency Scenario, HVAC consumption is greatly reduced, so becoming one of the least consuming components. Installations represent nearly 85% of the demand structure for both sites.
